Tidal Waves RIMA Champs THREE-PEAT!
Tidal Waves take home the trophy for the third consecutive year!
On Sunday February 8th, 2026, Tidal Waves Swim Team of the East Providence Boys and Girls Club once again took home the trophy at the RIMA Championship Meet. This was the third consecutive year that Tidal Waves has come in first at the meet, officially making it a three-peat! The boys team swam in the morning and ended their session with an almost 300 point lead over the next highest scoring team. The girls took over in the afternoon and increased that lead to almost 800 points over the second place team. When the scores were announced around 5:30 pm, all swimmers in attendance jumped into the pool with the trophy. (Coach Tony and Coach Alex even joined them in the water!) It was an incredible finish to a great season. A big thank you to the swimmers for their perseverance and hard work, the coaches for their time and dedication, the parents and grandparents for their support and encouragement, the officials and timers and volunteers for keeping the meets running smoothly, and the EPBGC staff for all they do to help our team. Everyone was part of this win!
